On Saturday night, shortly after leaving from a quiet evening out in Oshawa around 12 am, we were driving down Simcoe Street and noticed a crowd that had gathered on the Albert Street Bridge just above the highway 401. We were curious, so we turned around to see what could have gotten all these people to come out in the middle of the night.
When we got closer, we felt like we were watching clips from the movie ‘War of the Worlds’. There were bright lights, monster machines, loud noise and large amounts of debris falling through the rays of light. It was quite something! They were tearing down the railway overpass just East of Albert street that closed in 2001 and has been abandoned since.
I had my Canon 5D Mark ll with me, and right away I saw the photo opportunities I had in front of my eyes. I did not hesitate for a second and just started shooting.
Take a look at how awesome these photos turned out!
