Derek & Annalisa – Bellvue Manor – Toronto Wedding Pictures

If we could describe Annalisa and Derek’s wedding in just a few words, it would be something like this:
A lovely couple, and one happy union of two incredible families.

This romantic wedding was held at The Library Room of the Bellvue Manor, a luxury wedding venue located in Vaughan, just minutes from Toronto. The 19th century style architecture and the fine luxurious details tie everything together into a truly timeless elegance, setting the perfect ambiance for wedding photography in Toronto.

The morning of the wedding day started out with dark clouds and pouring rain, but thankfully those grumpy clouds quickly disappeared and it turned out to be a lovely day. We were able to take some wonderful shots before heading to Bellvue Manor, despite all the (harsh) sunshine we got after the rain.

Derek and Annalisa have such a genuine peace and joy about them.. but, we are going to just let the pictures speak for themselves.

Burlington Wedding Photographer – Ryan & Melissa’s Pictures at Spencer’s

We had a very busy and successful 2012 wedding season – so busy that we really fell behind with blogging! We are super excited and just can’t wait to share some of our favourite wedding pictures of the year!

Ryan and Melissa live in Calgary Alberta and came home to tie the knot. After a few brief phone conversations, and a review of our previous work, they felt very confident in us, and they decided they wanted us to be their Wedding Photographers in Burlington, Ontario. It’s an incredible feeling when people really appreciate our work, and put their trust in us because they just know that we will deliver amazing pictures of their big day.

This Burlington Wedding Photography celebration began at the Waterfront Hotel where Ryan and Melissa spent the morning hours getting ready in the company of their best friends. They were especially calm and more than ready to get married – these love birds simply could not deny their love for one another.

The short but incredibly sweet wedding ceremony was held at the Royal Botanical Gardens, followed by an amazing wedding reception at one of our favourite wedding venues, Spencers in Burlington – The Observatory, right on the waterfront. It is a beautiful location with modern architecture designed by award winning local Toronto architects – Baird, Sampson, and Neuert. This venue features floor to ceiling windows providing lots of natural light and a stunning view of the lake. The surrounding area is also great for wedding pictures. If you are looking for something fresh and a bit different, Spencer’s in Burlington is definitely a place to consider!

Dan & Stacey’s Wedding Pictures – Deer Creek Golf Course Ajax

This time around we went to Durham Region to be Dan and Stacey’s wedding photographers in Ajax.

The day started at the Hilton Hotel, right by Deer Creek Golf and Country Club in Ajax – where the wedding ceremony and reception was held. This location offers elegance, beauty and a truly breathtaking view of the golf course from the large private terrace.

Golf courses are really great for wedding photographers and couples who appreciate clean and simple shots. The surrounding areas of the facility usually makes for some unique wedding pictures as well. This Ajax wedding photography location was very versatile offering many great photo opportunities.

It really was a spectacular day and we made the most of it! Dan and Stacey were also very easy to work with, and we had a really good vibe throughout the day. Working with such wonderful people makes our job that much more rewarding.

Needless to say, we captured lots of awesome wedding pictures of Dan and Stacey and we are excited to share some with you all!

Rob & Lisa’s Wedding Pictures – Wedding Photographer Collingwood

There’s always something special about a wedding that takes place at a beautiful family property. Rob’s parents own a lovely home by the Blue Mountains area near Collingwood. The wonderfully kept green grass (that just seem to run infinite) and all those beautiful big trees made this property the ideal place to invite friends and family to share Rob and Lisa’s wedding day. Lisa arrived gracefully on a white carriage for the ceremony, and she looked stunning! Emotions were running super high as she walked down the aisle, and this wonderful energy could be felt more than ever.

After the wedding ceremony, we had lots of time to explore all the little areas of this property – it’s incredible how many wedding photography opportunities we found there! Everywhere we looked, we saw a perfect spot for wedding pictures. Rob and Lisa had a simple wedding photography theme – that was country fresh, keeping everything white with a touch of green and pink. It also wasn’t too long before the party came to life. It was indeed a wedding day to remember with all the emotions, laughter and fun, thus making this Collingwood wedding photography experience one that stayed close to our hearts.

          Yorkville Engagement Photography – Jay & Maggie’s E-Session

Jay and Maggie got married last year and just celebrated their first anniversary. Since they didn’t have an engagement photo session prior to their wedding day, they decided that engagement pictures would be the perfect anniversary gift to one another.

Looking at these cinematic style engagement pictures is like seeing clips from a movie. The streets of the very posh Yorkville area around Bloor and Yonge Street are so diverse and beautiful, perfectly complementing this very classy couple, who happen to have the most modest and warm personalities. We feel like we have known them forever.

Jay and Maggie have such a great sense of style and they certainly like all things nice, such as this chic Tag Heuer Carrera watch and the very sexy Mercedes Benz AMG 6.3 – what a ride!

We also took a few urban shots in the Dovercourt area just west of the downtown core. There are many, many more great pictures of Jay and Maggie, but this should give you a little taste of this cool Toronto engagement photography session!

We just love them so much and we are so looking forward to seeing more pics. They just turned out to be the way we wanted.

            Thanks,

            Jay and Maggie

Sweet 16 Birthday Party Photography – Paradise Banquet Hall in Toronto

This weekend we photographed Star’s Sweet 16 birthday party at the Paradise Banquet Hall in Toronto. Talk about an awesome birthday party! This event photography was a special birthday gift to Star from her aunt Roxana, whose birthday is coming up in April and we will be her photographers capturing every moment of her party as well!

This formal Sweet 16 birthday party was held at the very elegant Queen Victoria Room, which was perfectly enhanced by colourful ambient lighting that gave this party a very energetic feel. The DJ added even more to the energy level by playing cool tracks the entire night keeping Star and her guests dancing all night long. This birthday party really rocked! Here are some party pictures from the event.:)

Destination Wedding Photographers – Gran Bahia Principe Resort, Runaway Bay Jamaica

A few months ago we flew to the third largest island in the Caribbean, and one of the world’s most vibrant places – Jamaica, to photograph Evan and Sylvia’s destination wedding. This adventurous couple, who happen to live in British Columbia, could not have picked a better place to tie the knot. The warm breeze, the sounds of the Caribbean, and the friendly locals at the Gran Bahia Principe Resort made Runaway Bay Jamaica a very inviting place. This destination wedding photography was yet another pleasant experience in our lives and we feel so fortunate to be able to do what we love and to meet so many wonderful people along the way.

Destination weddings are a lot more relaxed than most local weddings in Toronto, because everything is happening at one location, usually the resort and there’s no rushing from one place to the next. They also yield a lot more pictures in general, and we had a hard time narrowing our selection down but we did our best to keep this destination wedding photography blog post relatively short and to the point by posting pictures that show more of this gorgeous place.

The following morning we woke up early to catch the sunrise and to take advantage of the various areas around the Grand Bahia Principe Resort and the beach while it was still quiet. Here is a little sneak peek of our Jamaican trash the dress session pictures – with a bonus picture showing Chris taking one of our final shots before it started to rain!
